29 Jun Saying Goodbye
This past week things were in full swing. We were preparing for the homecoming of the long term worker that has been on furlough on the States and had to say goodbye to our friends here.
It sounds simple enough but as we know life is ever-changing and we had to adapt to all the curve balls thrown at our plans.
As a goodbye gift we had photos printed of our team and gave them to the people we had **DBS’s with and to our friends here. It touched us deeply to see their response! The people were constantly asking when we’ll be returning.
Yesterday we got the long term worker from the airport and we are now spending time with her, enjoying fellowship and sharing stories.
We are so excited as this hand-off starts, knowing that Jesus is at the center and that He passionately loves the Basotho people.
In just a few days we’ll be leaving this village, so we’re all soaking up of what’s left of Lesotho. A nation that has been so kind and generous in receiving us. A nation that has embraced us. What a joy to have had the privilege of journeying with each other, the locals and Jesus in this place.
I think all of us will agree that we might be leaving Lesotho, but that Lesotho will never leave us. It’s forever engraved on our hearts and memories.
What can one say at the end of a journey such as this? Words escape and all that’s left to say is thank you, thank you Jesus. We love You!
